113 kilometres in 6 stages voted France’s favourite walking route in 2023.

GR® or Grande Randonnée, are long-distance, signposted footpaths that are long enough to allow hikers to cover distances of several days or weeks.

The GR® de Pays Tour de la Suisse Normande (TSN) is a 113-kilometre walking route between the departements of the Orne and Calvados. This rambling walk invites you to explore the most emblematic sites of Suisse Normande.

On this GR® de Pays Tour de Suisse Normande, you will discover landscapes that are sometimes unexpected, with meanders, deep gorges and mountainous terrain, not to mention the magnificent flora and fauna along the way.

The panoramas are breathtaking, and astonishing for Normandy: the Rochers de la Houle, the Pain de Sucre and La Roche d’Oëtre are part of the Armorican Massif, the oldest mountain range in Europe.

It is an exceptional way of showcasing the Suisse Normande region as a walking area.

Below are a few tips to help you prepare for your adventure.
As a general rule, you should plan ahead to organise your meals on Sunday afternoons and Mondays, when, depending on the section of the route, there is sometimes no food on offer.
We request that you take care of our beautiful environment: make sure you stay on the signposted paths and don’t leave any litter in the countryside.
You can supplement your walking guide with the GRP® Tour de la Suisse Normande (€8), produced by volunteers from the Comité Départemental de Randonnée Pédestre 14. It is available at www.ffrandonnee14.com or from the Tourist Information Offices in La Roche d’Oëtre, Flers and La Ferté-Macé.

The 113-kilometre route can be split into 6 stages, with stops in Thury-Harcourt (Le Hom), Clécy, Pont-d’Ouilly, Saint-Philbert-sur-Orne (La Roche d’Oëtre) and Condé-en-Normandie.
