La Marrière botanical trail

Near the Marais, a 1.8km botanical trail offers an opportunity to discover trees and shrubs, with 39 species on display along the way. You can also learn about the many functions of hedgerows. A discovery booklet offers research and observation activities all along the botanical trail, through the information totems you will come across on your walk.

A little history

The history of the Marrière botanical path goes back to 1997, when the Maison Familiale et Rurale (MFR) in Pointel and the Briouze municipality first laid out the path.
In 2017, the path was cleaned up and new trees and shrubs were planted. Signposts mark and identify the remarkable plants.
In 2019, a fresco was painted on the wall at the entrance to the path in collaboration with Briouze schools and colleges. As a follow-up to this work, a booklet for families has been published.
